The DMK Quick Pitch system is the way to go.  Once we got the system down, we did every pitch for nationals in about an hour and a half.  In my yard, I can have a regulation pitch ready to play on in about 5 minutes.

where is there more info on how the DMK Quick Pitch works?

There is a sheet somewhere that maybe someone (Dobbie or Chris) can post up.  I'll try to explain it though.

A quick pitch is a chunk of clothesline that is 13 meters long with loops at both ends and different colored tape bands at various intervals.  You start by pounding in a corner stake and putting the loop with green around it.  then, stretch out the line to find the other green mark and put a stake in there.  The two corner stakes will be 9.4 meters apart (the hypotenuse of a 5m by 8m triangle).  You now have opposite corner stakes in.

After that, you put the other loop on the new stake and find the red tape mark.  The red tape mark is 5m from one stake and 8m from the other.  Pound in the stake to keep the line tight and find the yellow mark.  This is the center line marking.

Finally, you pull the line off the first red and yellow pins (keeping the loops on the original corners) and find the other red and yellow marks for the other corner of the field.

(The diagram will make this much simpler than me explaining it.)

I've seen the DMK quick pitch in action. It's much easier than the explanation sounds. It's worth the time to make one.

Please email desmoineskubb@gmail.com for more information on the Quick Pitch system. I believe the club has a patent and intellectual property rights on the system. Also, we just want to make sure YOU get the information, and the idea isn't bastardized on the market. Know what I mean, fellow kubbers.

Dobbie,

Think I could purchase one...or figure one out. Might try it for the NF tourney. Could have my brother pick one up as he is coming up and playing. Heard Chris asked to be his partner.

I didn't get a hard commit from him yet so I'm still asking around. Know anybody looking for a partner?

I can set up a 8 meter by 5 meter pitch by stepping it off in about 20 seconds, and I am within 4cm at the most. That is the quickest way for me.

It's Chris' invention, and he does make them the best! I bet if Mike plays on Chris' team....just sayin....you may get one faster than I can get one made. I'm all out after last weekend.

I am brand new to Kubb. Just got my set and excited to try playing! Having trouble making the court. Could I buy/ get a copy of this to learn?

the Des Moines Kubb Club ran out of their supply, and the production workers (me and my uncle) have not had a chance to build more. JP, send me an email once Kurt D reaches out. I have to prep Iowa Games, and will be going through the kubb stuff this week. If I come across one, we will get it over to Kurt.

Does anyone have a copy of the quick pitch print-out from Des Moines Kubb.  The video I watched showed half of it, but I wonder if someone has a full copy so I could see the color coded markings and what distance each marking is.

Can you still get these? I cannot find them online. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Looks like they're still unavailable from DMK. Have you considered making your own?

I am making some this weekend. The tricky part is finding a material that has a high tensile rating.
