What is the best natural, non-toxic, sealer for a hardwood Kubb game set, specifically the Old Time Games Kubb set, the Swedish Competition Kubb Game set which is kiln dried and solid hardwood. 100% Walnut oil, or 100% pure Tung oil combined with a citrus solvent? Would either of these finishes bleed when wet, whether from wet grass, or snow?

I use 100% pure tung oil combined 50/50 with citrus solvent.  It works awesome.

Do you feel like this is worth the effort? I've got some tung oil but haven't applied it and have lately thought that the lifespan of a set is short enough that this isn't going to matter much.

If you are doing it for your personal set it doesn't take much time at all.  But it seems the new sets don't last as long as my older sets so it may not matter.

Thanks Chad.

What brand do you use? The 100% Tung oil and Citrus Natural Solvent sold by Real Milk Paint, or some other name brand?

Yes, both from Real Milk Paint.
